David Fortino Appointed to Vice President of Audience Development at NetLine Corporation

In his new role, Fortino will lead all efforts to acquire and drive targeted audiences through additional vertical content websites.

Fortino built NetLine's partner network and enhanced the value of NetLine's services and TradePub.com. The distribution network was designed to make trade magazine subscriptions and knowledge content, such as white papers and webinar offers available for free to visitors at content-relevant sites, adding significant benefit for NetLine's Lead Source and Sub Source customers as the reach to their target audiences grows, resulting in quality results and measurable ROI.
Since Fortino joined NetLine almost three years ago, he has effectively grown the partner network to include more than 2,350 active and targeted vertical sites. With a reach of over 25 million, NetLine customers' content and publications are matched with relevant vertical audiences consistently and with high frequency. Fortino plans to double the number of affiliate partners by the end of 2005.

While there, Fortino drove the strategy behind aggressive audience growth of VerticalNet/VertMarkets' nearly 70 BtoB online properties. Fortino spearheaded and implemented a plan resulting in VerticalNet's audience development strategy, moving from a traditional pull model to a distribution and syndication model, and ultimately shifting cost dependencies away from internal resources.
Fortino holds a B.A. in media studies with a focus on corporate communications from Pennsylvania State University.
